The name comes from Ancient Egyptian. نَفَرْ — NEFER — means beautiful. Complete. Good.
It is the hieroglyph of the heart and windpipe together — the mark you see drawing itself here, and the mark on every piece we make.

It is then shaped by hand by Egyptian craftsmen who understand wood the way a painter understands paint — its resistance, its warmth, where it wants to go.
The measurements you can see on the sheet are the ones the piece was actually built to.
